Hi There,Please, I have had a bit problem in working out with the hselect task iraf.
I am working on a macbook machine, IRAF 2.13-beta2.----------------------------------
cl> hselect radial.fits ra yes
ERROR: parameter 'missing' not found
called as :'hselect (images=radial.fits, fields=ra, expr=yes)".
----------------------------------I had a look at other machines here and this parameter "missing" is also
missing and even so hselect works nice there. This task was working very
well on my mac, however, some days ago, I had a type of "bus error" when
running the telluric task, so I just followed the suggestions stated on
the iraf forum and I got to solve this latter problem. I mean:cd /iraf/irafbin/bin.macintel # go to core iraf bin directory
tar zxpf //ib.macx.x86.gz # unpack IB distribution filecd /iraf/irafbin/noao.bin.macintel # go to core iraf bin directory
tar zxpf //nb.macx.x86.gz # unpack IB distribution fileWell, I do not know if it makes sense, but hselect was working very good
before doing that. Please, could you help me to solve this trouble?Thank in advance for your support.
Cheers,
a.----------------------------------------------

The 'missing' parameter is new, you need to do an "unlearn hselect" to pick it up. For major releases, we usually recommend you do a new MKIRAF and reinitialize your uparm directory, but in almost all cases an unlearn will fix 'parameter not found' errors.-Mike

Before writing to you I tried "unlearn" and "mkiraf" but the problem remained... Anyway I tried again and it remains. Please, anyother suggestion?
Thanks,

My bad, this is an error in the source build. See https://iraf.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=85854&highlight=hselect+missing for the fix.-Mike
