Hello,
I need some help regarding splot. There is a record file in splot
called splot.log, which records some of the operations done using splot. I
want to record the wavelengths which I mark using the space-bar key. However
the splot.log does not seem to record this information. Is it possible by
some means that I can record the marked wavelengths automatically instead of
writing them down by hand?.
Thanks,
Neelam.

Hello Neelam,The feature you want would be useful but is, unfortunately, not part of the task. What you can do is create a graph with a wavelength scale, say with SPLOT, and then exit. Then use the task "rgcur" redirected to a file; e.g.[code:1:ee037197a5]
cl> rgcur >> splot.log
[/code:1:ee037197a5]This will bring up the graphics cursor and any key you type (except your EOF key to exit) will record the wavelength, y value, a graphics window code, and the key typed.Yours,
