Hi.I am trying to install mscred on a suse 10.2 machine, and since I couldn't find suse binaries for this package I decided to install from source. I followed the instructions but eventually got: ________________________
x_mscexam.f:
sysruk:
xc -Nz -p mscred x_mscexam.o -limexam -lmscdisp -lccdred -lmscred -lslalib -lds -lxtools -lcurfit -lgsurfit -lnlfit -liminterp -lncar -lgks -lllsq -o xx_mscexam.e
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/3.4.6/libgcc.a when searching for -lgcc
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/3.4.6/libgcc.a when searching for -lgcc
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgcc
________________________I have a multilib installation of gcc , versions 4.12 and 3.4.6, and the proper 32 bit version of lgcc is /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/3.4.6/32/libgcc.a. My trouble is , how can I tell this to xc?Alternativelly, is it possible to install the redhat binaries on a suse machine?
Many thanks,Jorge.

Jorge,64-bit machines cannot currently be used for compilation, however you can use prebuilt binaries. In your case, use the Redhat binaries but install them in the 'bin.suse' directory of mscred (you may need to create this first).Cheers,
-Mike
