I'm trying out dopcor under Pyraf. Using more or less the same parameters as the example in the help, I'm getting the same error every time, No correction specified. [code:1:2f35d3f6a8]--> dopcor del0 del0v redshift=-vhelio isvel+
Killing IRAF task `dopcor'
Traceback (innermost last):
File "<CL script CL1>", line 1, in ?
iraf.dopcor('del0', 'del0v', redshift = '-vhelio', isvel=yes, _save=1)
IrafError: Error running IRAF task dopcor
IRAF task terminated abnormally
ERROR (1, "No correction specified")[/code:1:2f35d3f6a8]What's going on here? It almost looks like a bug.

Obvious first question: Is there a VHELIO header keyword in the image? If so, then does running the task using that [b:6fe7bde2a5]value[/b:6fe7bde2a5] work?-Mike

Yes, it has a VHELIO value and it works just as badly if I include it explicitly.
[code:1:ce170a565c]--> imhead del0 | grep VHELIO
VHELIO = -4.58962200049163
--> dopcor del0 del0v redshift=4.589 isvel+

Try unlearning the task, or whatever the pyraf equivalent is. That particular error is printed when both the 'dispersion' and 'flux' parameters are turned off.-Mike
