Hello,When I run digiphot/daophot/allstar, I have to set the daopars with
(recente= yes) Recenter stars during fit ?If I set (recente=no), many of them will not come out in the als.1 file. They will be rejected and end up in the arj.1 file. The problem is that if I set (recente=yes), many fainter stars will move around, some time a lot, to find a new center of a brighter nearby star. Then the results come out are for brighter stars instead. How do I run allstar while set (recente=no)? If I have to set (recente=yes), how do I limit it's moving distance (move <1-2 pixel is ok, but not more than that)?Thank you!Ping

Ping,A (very) quick look at the code suggests the 'fitrad' parameter might be the thing you need to tweak. Somebody who knows more about the task might be able to offer a more informed suggestion.Cheers,
-Mike

Hi Mike,Thank you very much! But "fitrad" doesn't help. allstar still moves around to find the new center. In some cases it can move as far as 20-30 pixels, which is completely different star.Ping
