Hi,Earlier debian package of Iraf was situated in NOAO's ftp server. However now it seems that the whole debian directory is disappeared. Does anyone know where I could download this package? (apt-source or just the file). It makes installing Iraf/Pyraf-system quite a lot easier.-Juho Pekka Vehviläinen

It appears to still be available from the Japanese mirror site at ftp://iraf.nao.ac.jp/IRAF/contrib I don't believe this package is being maintained any longer and is certainly a V2.12 version of some kind.-Mike

This page describes how to setup IRAF on a Ubuntu/Debian machine. Apart from the exact commands, there are some instructions in square brackets that need to be followed. Installation of X11IRAF, DS9, Tables, and STSDAS are included.http://geco.phys.columbia.edu/~rubab/iraf/
