Dear All,Does anybody use IRAF under 64 bit Gentoo distribution? I'm trying to install it, but it would be easier with an ebuild, or with a list of instruction. Thanks in advanceBrigitta

The system should run using pre-built binaries, however compilation isn't supported under 64-bit systems. For Gentoo you'll need to install the binaries in a 'bin.linux' directory, but you'll want to download the 'redhat' binaries. A complete summary of the installation is in the example at the end of the install guide, see https://iraf.net/ docs/pciraf/ for details. Post back if you still have problems.Cheers,
-Mike

I have installed into a new system which has fedora core 6 and it's a 64 bit amd opteron system. Works like a charm... Though I do have a question, but since it's not related to this one, notice the new topic
