Following some initial difficulties under 2.12.2a, I thought I'd mention that I was able to compile the Gemini IRAF package and all of its dependencies under IRAF 2.13 beta 2 on Ubuntu 6.06 with no problems (note that gemini currently still recommends using 2.12.2a, but I have switched due to an SPP compilation problem that I had under Ubuntu).This packages involved are the following:
