Hi,
a friend of mine who works with Iraf (and midas) is going to buy a notebook.
Can anyone tell me for sure if Iraf (and midas?) works with a centrino duo and a linux Os (mandriva is her choice, but she could switch).
with a turion 64?thank you for your time.pippo_jedi

I can't speak entirely for Midas, but I wouldn't expect a problem at the level of the cpu choice. Most incompatabilities would be in support for the OS/distro, Mandriva is fairly standard and should run both IRAF and Midas (and now, PyMidas!)Cheers,

In this case users posted their own msg before I could move the forwarded messages to a public group, which is fine!
