Dear IRAF,The task "PHOT" has output format %-6d for ID. That means it can only process
maximum of 999999 stars. (5 years ago it was %-5d, so it could only do 99999 starts). Now I have Mosaic image with 3 million stars. How do I change the output format so it has at least %-7d?I see the allstar output has format of ID %-9d. So I assume it should be ok.Thanks for help!Ping Zhao

Hi Ping,You will need to edit noao/digiphot/apphot/aplib/apwres1.x; you can change the formatting for the ID column to -7d (i.e., in ID_FSTR and ID_WSTR). As the lines are 80 characters long, you'll also need to sacrifice some precision (one digit in this case) or a character in another parameter. After that, you'll need to recompile the digiphot package.Hope that helps.

Hi Phil,Thank you for your help!
Wendy Robert said that we don't have the source code installation for iraf here. So we can't do this edition. Is there a binary update for digiphot?
If not, can you make a temporary update with this edition for us to download? Thanks!Ping
