I´m going to buy a AMD Athlon 64 3400+, could I install Iraf in my computer?thanks.

Existing IRAF binaries will run however only in 32-bit mode and compilation of external packages/imfort is not supported. You'll need to build binaries on a 32-bit linux system and move them, in most cases pre-built binaries are available (just ask if you can't find something).-Mike
