Dear IRAF support group,
I'm writing to you because I have some problems in running some mscred
tasks.
The mscred package was already installed in my pc while I installed
esowfi package by myself (I followed the instructions for the personal
use installation).
Everything seems to work fine, but when I try to use the zerocombine
task in mscred I cannot have access to the file containing the
translation and I get this warning message:Warning: Cannot open file (esodb$esowfi.dat)I thought that this could be due to a wrong installation.
As it's the first time I use this package (actually, I'm at the very
beginning also with IRAF itself), I'm wondering if you could please give
me some suggestion on how to solve the problem.
Many thanks and best regards
Anna Cibinel

Anna,Be sure the ESOWFI package is loaded before you try this, the esodb$ logical directory is defined only when the package is loaded. Just type 'esowfi' to load the package, if you do this in your login.cl/loginuser.cl file be sure it is before the final 'keep' statement.Cheers,
-Mike
