I'm having trouble figuring out how to redefine the pixel range used in the gssskysub task (part of the Gemini-GMOS packages). Most of my objects are in the center of my slit.
The sky subtraction works for these objects. Some of my objects lie to the edge of the slit, and hence are in the pixels that are used to calculate the 'sky' value. I'm running it in interactive mode, but I can't find the commands that redefine which pixels are used for sky.Any help would be much appreciated.

I know some of the GEMINI programmers read this site and perhaps they'll chime in with more details. The GSSKYSUB task is a script that uses FIT1D for the interactive fit, and that task uses the standard ICFIT package where the 's' keystroke is used to select the sample.See also the various cookbooks available for the GMOS package (e.g. once the package is loaded simply type 'help' to list available help and see something like GMOSINFOSPEC or GMOSEXAMPLES).
