[quote:3ea45658ab]Hello Sergio,
Yes the duplicate use of zloreject at line 198 is an error. How it affects PyRAF and if that is the actual source of the error you would have to ask the developers of PyRAF (at help@stsci.edu (help@stsci.edu)). XDIMSUM was not developed with regards to working under PyRAF and there are some tasks which do not work with that command interpreter.
I will fix the duplicate definition you identified and if you make the change and it fixes the problem you are having I would appreciate an email.

[quote:3ea45658ab]A local user pointed out the following error which manifests itself when
running "epar makemask" under PyRAF:
SyntaxError: duplicate keyword argument (<CL script xdimsum.makemask>, line 176)
The error message is from Python, which explains why the problem isn't
seen under the classic cl.
The closest instance of a duplicate keyword I could find is at line 198
of makemask.cl (we are running xdimsum 020806) where "zloreject=INDEF"
appears twice.
I guess that the second instance was meant to be "zhireject=INDEF";
can anyone confirm and/or point us to a better version of xdimsum?
