Hi, Frank---
I'm preparing for a Hydra run, and since I had used the USNO-A2 catalog to do the astrometric calibration
of my Mosaic frames, I thought I would use this to retreive the coordinates of stars that I could likely use
for setting up on the field (i.e., the fops). But, if I try giving mscgetcat a reduced image (i.e., one that
has already been geometrically transforemed and turned into a single image) it apparently infers the
wrong RA and DEC. Is there a simple way around this? I confess I'm just using this as a simple filter
for the catalog (radius and magnitude).
thanks,
phil

Hi Phil,
I was away when your mail came in and then I failed to catch up to it. So I'm sorry about not replying sooner. I don't know what the problem might be. The easy thing to do is send me a header listing and I can tell you what is going on.
Yours,
Frank
