I use IRAF to reduce and analyze Eso VLT ISAAC spectra and mostly the
procedures run very smoothly. I would like to use the
'telluric'-procedure in order to wash the spectra from telluric-lines.
When typing 'telluric input output calibration' , where 'input.fits' has
a ISAAC-fitsheader (and calibration.fits has a similar fitsheader) the
following message is given:
"Warning: Environment variable not found or not integer (isodates)" and
no further action is generated.
This is hard to understand as the similar procedure 'skytweaks' runs
without any problems.I am very anxious to be able use this nice interactive procedure. Is
there some simple remedy in the headers?

Hi Sven,
The message is bogus and is usually masking another error message.
To find out what this real error is, define 'isodates' and rerun the task,
e.g. cl> reset isodates = 1
cl> telluric .......most likely you're missing a header keyword of some kind. Hope this
helps, let us know if you still need help fixing the error.Cheers,
Mike Fitzpatrick
