I am writing a fairly complicated cl procedure (yeah - I should
use spp). In it, I am calling various tasks in the apextract
package. I want to set the parameters for the background etc
non-interactively. I have the following line: apall(s1,1,output=extfile,apertures="",format="multispec",
references="",profiles="",interactive+,find-,recenter-,resize+,
edit+,trace-,fittrace-,extract+,extras-,review-,line=INDEF,
nsum=-10.,apidtable="",shift-,bkg+,r_grow=0.,avglimits-,
b_funct="legendre",b_order=2,b_sampl="-30:-20,20:30",b_naver=-3,
b_niter=1,b_low_r=3.,b_high_r=3.,b_grow=0.,ylevel=0.001,
background="fit",skybox=5,weights="variance",pfit="fit1d",
clean+,saturation=INDEF,readnoise="RDNOISE2",gain="GAIN2",
lsigma=4.,usigma=2.8,nsubaps=1)As you can see, it has the background stuff explicitly
in it. I also tried having lines just before this call such
as apdefault.b_order=2. Right now I am running it interactively
to test and it turns out that it is not using these values for the
background. I have also set these parameters into apdefault prior
to running the script and it still does not use them. Any clues
what is going wrong? Since this is a pipeline I am writing, I would
prefer if the script could be run in a batch mode. Once the
apertures are set interactively, then the values which
are in the database are used.--
