Hi Yao,
Sorry, I don't use Photoshop or Windows. From within IRAF you
can add text to an image (using a very crude font) with the TVMARK
task, and once you convert the image to something else there are a
number of host tools (e.g. XV, ImageMagick or GIMP) under unix that
can add text. It may be that the TIFF image you create isn't fully
compatible with the Windows tools, I assume you did this using ds9?
If so then you might contact SAO to see if they have any information
about the ds9 tiff file and known problems.
