I hope this isn't too much of a nuisance but I am wondering if there are any
issues to be concerned about if I run IRAF on a 64-bit Solaris 7
installation. I currently have IRAF 2.11.3 running on Solaris 2.5.1 and
would like to just mount the IRAF disks onto our new Solaris 7 server from
that installation. I just want to be sure that I shouldn't be running the
32-bit version of 7.Thanks!--

Hi Eric,
We and other sites use Solaris 7 (and 8) all the time with no
problems. There is a version-specific iraf shared library in the system
so mounting on the 2.7 system should be fine. Let us know if you have
any problems or questions.Regards,
Mike Fitzpatrick
