  4m taping weirdness

wrote a backup this morning using mscwfits
i have lots of files called feb13.001 and feb14.005 etc
so i wrote them to tape (mtccomp DLT) using mscwfitsi then read them back using mscrfits. all the feb13 files have the same name!
as do the feb14 files.i append the dlt listing and the image header from a file i just read back
off of tape. why does orig+ give that funky name instead of the useful name
in the header?am i doing something incredibly stupid?please reply to "edo@as.arizona.edu" as well as to 4mfeb13.fits[1][2112,4096][ushort]: M dome
