'stty' at the cl prompt, what do you see? If you're running an xterm,
then that's what should be reported. If you're running an xgterm
(recommended), then it should say that. You can change your terminal type
by doing a 'stty <termname>'. A better solution would be to rerun
'mkiraf' and set the terminal type permanently. Usually this message can
be ignored unless you'll be using any graphical tasks like IMPLOT. If you
ever do, you may see garbage appear on your screen instead of the expected
plot. Here's where you'd have to "fix" the terminal type by using the
'stty' command so the plot appears. All of the X11iraf stuff can be accessed via our ftp site: ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/x11irafA good place to start is the README file as well as the various Postscript
files describing each of the programs available (ximtool, xgterm,
xtapemon, obmsh, vximtool). Let us know if you have any specific
