I'm trying to use reidentify with a 1-D reference spectrum
to reidentify lines in a multiaperture image. There is
a fairly large shift between the ref image and the target
image (~260 Angstroms), which I give as the shift parameter
to reidentify. The task appears to work fine on images
with only 1 aperture but fails on multiaperture images.
In the latter case it seems to be applying the shift to
each successive aperture based on the previously reidentified
aperture so that eg by the 3 rd aperture the shift being
used is some 780 Angstroms with respect to the reference
spectrum. -Adam Stanford
