The STB connection appears to have worked fine all night. I did notice
that UNIQNAME was indeed not unique for the night. The instrument or
software was reset or some such early on and the sequence started over
again. This makes it pretty hard to verify that a particular image
made it into the archive. (Yes, just another plug for RECID.)I'd be interested to hear about the details of how your system spawns
the appropriate "lpr -Pbits" command. Will this come up automatically
for future runs? Can the archiving be disabled unintentionally? One little change for the remainder of this run would be nice. If I
understood the previous discussions correctly, the TELESCOP keyword is
just specified in a text file on the instrument computer. Could that
please be changed to "kp4m" for the duration? This started out as "NONE"
after the instrument moved to the 4 meter, but then reverted to "2.1 meter"
for the last several hundred exposures. (The value for the 2.1 meter
telescope should likewise be kp21m.)Without the telescope keyword set properly, the daily archive statistics
will end up in some other category (the NONE's happened to be assigned
to the 4meter category just because that's the top of the list - on the
other hand, the "2.1 meter" headers fell to the bottom of the list and
were counted as weather satellite pictures). Thanks!Rob
