Subject: 3color imagesHi, I've tried to install the linux version of imcnv and I've
run into a couple of problems. Namely I've installed the
program both from source and from binary and it seems to
run, but the gif files I generate come up as truncated and
the sun rasterfile images I generate aren't recognized by
xv as raterfile images. Do you have any suggestions?eric>From fitz Mon Mar 17 16:47:27 1997

Subject: Re: 3color imagesHi Eric,
The GIF files aren't truncated, they contain a "null block" extension
which is legal but causes things like XV to complain. You should still
see the image though right? The rasterfile error is a bug; the raster
format is defined to be MSB-first but there's no check of the system to
do a byte swap. I've fixed this and updated both the package source archive
and linux binaries. Try it again and let me know if you still have problems.
I plan to fix the GIF thing before the tasks are installed in the system,
there wasn't time today but let me know if it's a real problem.Cheers,
Mike Fitzpatrick
