Solaris 2.3 or later, minus compiler support. The next public IRAF
release is 2.11 (previously called 2.10.3). This will include full
Solaris support as well as full support for xgterm, ximtool, and the
other X utilities. Our GUI project goes a lot further than that but
all the GUI stuff will not be in 2.11 (we will get some sort of demo
release out separately). The date of the 2.11 release is not known
yet and will depend upon when the current GUI work winds up. I would
like to get 2.11 out within the next several months but can't make

used by a number of sites with various detectors. This is different from
the ARCON software which was developed by CTIO. The CTIO software is
very specific to the ARCON and unless you have the CTIO controller you
probably would not be able to use the software. As I say, ICE on the
other hand is device independent and can be adapted to almost any
controller with some work. - Doug
