"The Happy Canadian" (thick accent so I didn't get the name) has
called from Ottawa several times in the last few days about installing
2.10 and ftp retrieval. He wasn't so happy today because he couldn't get
the binaries installed, this was because he hadn't transferred them.
He was following the installation guides and README files *verbatim*,
and these had no explicit instructions on getting the binaries (he also
had no /scr0 partition so the IG example commands failed).
I explained what was going on but it seems reasonable that the
README files have more to say about what should be transferred for those
users who insist on skimming the instructions (at least one line that
says you need the as.*, ib.* and nb.* files for a full installation).
