Hello Jeannette, Terry Herter and I are writing a set of scripts to use in
reducing some spectral line data. When we use IMFORT routines
(IMAKWI, for example) to add fields to image headers it is very easy
to add a comment to each field. Is there any way to add such a
comment when using a script, when using HEDIT to add the field? We are now successfully submitting background jobs from within
scripts, thanks to your earlier assistance! Thanks.

Nicole,
Hedit has an "add" parameter that can be used to add a new keyword
to an image header (similarly it also has a "delete" param). To add a comment
string to the header you would do something like: cl> hedit nite1.imh comment "this is a comment string" add+ del-Hope this helps,
Mike Fitzpatrick
