I am having trouble installing sptable. If I follow these instructions:
% cd $iraf/extern
% make self_update
% ./configure # even if done earlier
% make sptable
make self_update stalls here
make self_update
Updating repository data ...
I can go to ftp site
ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/extern and download the tar file but then what do I do?
