Hi,

I have searched through IRAF to find out a routine which would list out all the pixels and the counts associated with them for a fits image, but I could not find anything. I would like to compare my model image (with WCS coordinates) to a real image, both of which are available in fits format. I was thinking of comparing pixel to pixel information from both the images and that is why I would need a routine to get the table for the actual image which would list "pixel X" "Pixel Y" "Count". Any help/suggestion will be highly appreciated.

See the LISTPIXELS task and help page. Note also there are the RTEXTIMAGE and WTEXTIMAGE tasks as well as other tasks that may be handy in the DATAIO core package and the FITSUTIL external package.
