Hi,

I'm trying to do the comparison spectrum assignments for a bunch of observations and, if I do it through the parameter editor (i.e. $epar hedit - etc.) or if I do
$hedit object_file.fits REFSPEC1 add+ ver- show+
then it works fine (in the latter case, I will - of course be asked to fill in the value for REFSPEC1, but that works.).
However if I, in the hedit command, say REFSPEC1="comp_object_file.fits", I get "ERROR parameter 'REFSPEC1' not found". I have a bunch of exposures so I'd really would like to set this up as a script/input file, so what am I doing wrong?
I've been following the (old) Massey, Valdez & Barnes (1992) manual, so I though I had the syntax right, but maybe I'm missing something?

Thanks!

B-G Andersson

Try using

cl\$this->_split2($m[0]) hedit object_file.fits REFSPEC1 comp_object_file.fits add+ ver- show+

i.e. the keyword (REFSPEC1) and its value (comp_object_file.fits) are separate arguments.
