about wavelength calibration
Which arc files should I use?
There are no FORS2 calibration files at http://www.eso.org/pipelines/.
However I tried FORS's files but only found,say,
F2_GMDT_090210A_G300I_OG590_Norma.fits is a 6x10 matrix which has nothing to do with wavelength.
There are ps files "FORS1 Tek CCD postscript files" at the bottom of
http://www.eso.org/sci/facilities/paranal/instruments/fors/inst/grisms.html
.I tried the ps files but the wavelength calibration was not good enough.
about flux calibration
Is there a ready-made extinction file of Paranal Observatory?
If you use iraf, you should use that file when you do the flux calibration
using iraf tasks "standard" and "sensfunc".
