Hi Our of our users has asked me to report this problem...
--
I'm attempting to median stack HAWK-I images in MEF files. I'm using imcombine and have pixel masks which I wish to use during the stacking. A master pixel mask has been produced using optmasks, and the mask for each image is produced by shifting this mask spatially using python/pyfits.
The resulting masks seem to be OK and can, for example, be used with fixpix without errors or problems. When using them in imcombine, however, I get the following error:Dec 4 12:36: IMCOMBINE
combine = median, scale = none, zero = none, weight = none
reject = pclip, nkeep = 1
pclip = -1., lsigma = 3., hsigma = 3.
blank = 0.
masktype = goodval, maskval = 0

Warning: PLIO: reference out of bounds on maskThis is with IRAF v2.16 on both OS X and linux systems.Does anyone have any idea why I get this error?I've uploaded the images I'm using, along with the results of 'lpar imcombine' and the python script I am using to the following locationftp://hydra.shef.ac.uk/pub/sl/imcombineI am invoking the python script withpython bkgSubtract.py '*calib*' 3

Please ignore the post - the dimensions of the image that were used to make the mask didn't match the images he was trying to mask.Cheers
Paul.
