Hi there,I would like to ask to the IRAF experts what could be preventing the IMCOMBINE task of combining a set of 20 images of bias. I mean, I've always used this task to combine a set of images without any issue. However, since I've installed the SciSoft package for Mac OS X, it seems that IMCOMBINE do not "want" to combine the set of 20 images at once.I tried to run IMCOMBINE by dividing the 20 images in 3 subsets and then combined the results from each subset into the final combined image. Such approach worked as expected. The problem seems to appear only with the 20 images as input to combine. So, what on earth could be causing such a weird behavior of IMCOMBINE?Thank you all in advance for any reply.Kind regards,
mairan

Well, anyway, I solved this issue by using ZEROCOMBINE and FLATCOMBINE instead of IMCOMBINE...Cheers,

[quote:e2adcfc345="mairan"]... still having this issue with IMCOMBINE... anyone?[/quote:e2adcfc345]I would be willing to try to duplicate the error if you post a link where I can download the exact files and a copy of your imcombine settings. I am running PC-IRAF 2.16 on linux, not Mac OS X, but I could at least help to see if the problem is platform independent. You could also try just unlearning imcombine and resetting the parameters. Over the years, I've had this solve a couple problems... cosmic-rays or something. :-)Jason
