Hi,Is there a straightforward way to save the data that goes into the graphics window line plots (created by the 'c', 'l', or 'u' commands) to a file? I've been searching these forums, but I've only found the PRADPROF function which saves radial profile data. I could also use the LISTPIX function, but this would only save data from perfectly vertical or horizontal line plots, not the diagonal vector plots created with the 'u' and 'v' commands. It seems like there should be an easy way to save data from the graphics window... am I missing it?Thanks!

Many of the IMEXAM keystrokes have their origins in standalone tasks in the system, in this case have a look at PCOL(S), PROW(S) and PVECTOR tasks. A simple LISTPIX with image sections will print cols/rows directly, otherwise see the 'output' param of PVECTOR to print arbitrary lines.

Thanks. The "device=" parameter in PROW, PCOL, etc. is set to "stdgraph"; what is the correct setting to print to a file? (PVECTOR seems to have a parameter that prints output to file, the vec_output parameter, but PROW and PCOL don't have this.)-MD

I was trying to be general in what you meant by 'save the data': For pixel values just use the PVECTOR task, if you want to save the plot itself then you can set the graphics parameter to be e.g. 'psdump' to save a postscript plot.

While this topic is up, one of things I've noticed is that many of the text objects put into the graphics window are not centered properly if the graphics window has been resized from its default. This is reproducible using dev$pix and imexam's line plot for instance. the graphs themselves seem to handle resizing very well. It's just the titles and subtitles that have problems.Despite being cosmetic in nature, I consider this something of a medium importance issue. As today monitors are often of very high resolution, the default plot can be extremely tiny; so resizing is a common thing to do. This makes the effect very prominent. Also, when creating images of the plots, it taints the "publish-ability" of the output.Jason
