Hi, I am using an iraf script to do the spectrum data reduction.
When combining the bias, I met a error like this:
******************************************************************
Displaying combined bias frame...
z1=-6.699097 z2=20.57361
ERROR on line 1836: floating point invalid operation
wfcal (mode=h)
******************************************************************when combining the flat, a error is like this:
***************************************************************
Propagating DQ values
ERROR on line 70: Cannot update image header (tmpgflatimg.fits[0])
gemhedit (image=tmpgflatimg.fits[0], field=RONORIG, value=7., comment=Input read-noise)
wfcal (mode=h)**************************************************************can anybody tell me is this the same problem in wfcal or not?
what is the reason causing these errors?

Typing 'd_trace' before executing a script task will produce lots of output telling you exactly what command is being executed, you can use this to track down the floating point error. This could be either a bug in a task or something data-related but its impossible to say without even knowing what task is failing.There have been several other questions about the WIFES package posted recently, use the search box on the banner bar to find them. Hopefully one of those users can post a solution, but your best bet may be to contact the WIFES project or the original script developers.
