Hello.Been a while since I posted. Research!I need to do some timing analysis on photometry (using IRAF) results (light-curves). The recommended software is XRONOS, but the input files needs to be specific FITS format data files.Q! Is it possible, and how difficult would it be to create the desired FITS output files from the daophot photometry output files.I need to do a search for an ephemeris for a specific CV star.Thank U

How difficult this is will depend on the details of the specific format required, I assume it is some sort of binary table? The STWFITS task in TABLES.FITSIO is able to convert a daophot .mag file directly to a FITS file with a 'TABLE' extension, you might also look at tools in the TABLES.TOOLS package for ways to select rows/cols beforehand or TCREATE for finer control over the table to create.-Mike
