Hi Beatrice,The instrument is considered engineering by KPNO and so the headers have not been finalized.  However, what you need is simple.  First of all, the reference is "cl> phelp instruments".  The beginnings of the file you need iscl> type STA2.dat
imagetyp        imgtype
subset          filtname
Since I only have the one example of the IMGTYPE keyword I don't know if the IMGTYPE values need translations.  The example you sent uses the same value as expected by CCDPROC (object) so no translation is needed.  However, if you find that zeros and flats are not recognized then you would add lines like:dflat flat
bias zeroThe first column is the string you see in the header and the second is the type for CCDPROC.  If the first column has spaces then you need to quote them.  Again see the help page for "instruments".Place the file in an appropriate directly.  Let us say it is where you login to IRAF; i.e. home$.  Then you wouldcl> epar ccdred
[Set the instrument parameter to "home$STA2.dat"The you can do something like:cl> ccdlist *fits
kp100320_085.fits[1352,2000][real][object][R]:Landolt  PG1657+078
cl> ccdlist *fits l+
kp100320_085.fits[1352,2000][real][object][R]:Landolt  PG1657+078
   exposure=30 darktime=30
   [TO BE DONE] Bad pixel file is foo.pl
   [TO BE DONE] Overscan strip is [1305:1349,1:2000]
   [TO BE DONE] Trim image section is [1:1300,1:2000]
   [TO BE DONE] Zero level correction
   [TO BE DONE] Flat field correction
This will show that the exposure type, filter, exposure time, and bias sections are recognized.Frank
