Hello,Is there a task which does the oposite to LISTPIX? e.g. I provide an ascii file, containing xy coordinates and the pixelvalue for this coordinate, and the task generates a fits file out of it. Is there something which can do this?
thx.

See RTEXTIMAGE or if these are spectra RSPECTEXT. You can use the FIELDS task to extract an ascii column if the (x,y) coordinates aren't needed. Both tasks assume the data make up a full image, not sparse pixels in an array. To create a FITS file just specify the ".fits" extension explicitly (recent IRAF version default to FITS anyway).-Mike
