Hi,I get the error "task 'mscred' has no param file" when I try to use mscred in iraf. I have installed the files from iraf.noao.edu, I followed the instructions in the README file and everything looks like it is in the right place. The file "mscred.par" is in the /Users/iraf/iraf/mscred/ directory. To compare, the noao.par file is in the /Users/iraf/iraf/noao/ directory.Clearly, something is not defined as it should be, but at this point I am confused about which paths must be defined where. The extern.pkg file has the lines: reset mscred = /local/mscred/
reset mscdb = /local/mscdb/
task mscred.pkg = mscred$mscred.clin it.I am using an Intel Mac. Thanks,Rachel

The paths in the extern.pkg file must be the actual paths on the machine and not just the example paths in the readme file. I.e. try changing your "/local/mscred/" to "/Users/iraf/iraf/mscred" if that's where you actually unpacked the package.-Mike
