Hi Mike, I am back after some time has passed... I have problems with running apall. Here is what it happens:
[quote:167dc4d6e0]
List of input images (ima0001.imh):
Recenter apperture for ima0001.imh (yes):
Warning: OPEN: File does not exist (localhost.locald!/var/tmp/Bimal/ima0001.pix)
[/quote:167dc4d6e0]
But file ima0001.imh is definitely there in the directory im working. So?

The .imh file is just the header file, the pixels are stored (for this format) in a separate ".pix" file and the two are connected by a pixfile pathname in the header that tells the system where to look for the pixels.Your error message is complaining that the pixel file doesn't exist, and since the path is /var/tmp it may have been deleted at the last reboot. The pixel directory is defined when the system is installed and can be changed by setting the 'imdir' variable in your login.cl file. A value such as "HDR$pix/" (trailing '/' required) would put the .pix file in a subdirectory of the .imh file.Assuming you can locate the .pix file you can use HEDIT to change the 'i_pixfile' field with the correct path, but as I said /var/tmp may be a problem. If you still have the FITS file of the image you can use that directly and avoid this entirely.-Mike

Thanks Mike, I did the rfits procedure again to get the .imh file and now is working fine.
