Dear Sir,
I have managed to intall IRAF and all other
packages on Scientific Linux. however
when I intalled xgertm using the "./intall" in
"x11iraf-v1.3-bin.redhat.tar" as root, it did it without warnning or
error. However when I want to call xgterm with the command "xgterm" I get
the fallowing error "xgterm: no available ptys". Could pl. help me solve
this problem?regards

You need to install the binary version from ftp://iraf.noao.edu/pub/xgterm.fedora-Mike
