 Debian distribution question

Hi.I have installed a version of linux named Ubuntu (Debian) and I am wondering which of the files are need for this particular distribution. I have worked with fedora and everything works well, but right now I am lost with the files needed to install iraf in Ubuntu. Could you help me with this?? Ciao and thanks in advance.

This page describes how to setup IRAF on a Ubuntu/Debian machine. Apart from the exact commands, there are some instructions in square brackets that need to be followed. Installation of X11IRAF, DS9, Tables, and STSDAS are included.http://geco.phys.columbia.edu/~rubab/iraf/
