Hi!
Recently i asked about my troubles with displaying of some .fits files. I have found that problem was in incorrect data written in header. Keyword NAXIS=2, NAXIS1 and NAXIS2 both are equals to 2052. BUT! I have also third keyword NAXIS- which equal to 1. So, IRAF think that I have an image 2052x1 which is obviously wrong. What is a right method to delete this keyword? I try to use hedit but i don't know how to write query.
hedit myfile.fts naxis- delete+ won't work, of cource.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Eugene.

Eugene. I just tested your problem:
[code:1:76fe0001af]
ecl> hedit lira1 ltm1_1 delete+
delete lira1,LTM1_1 ? (yes):
lira1,LTM1_1 deleted
update lira1 ? (yes):
lira1 updated
[/code:1:76fe0001af]
and
[code:1:76fe0001af]
ecl> imhead lira1 long+
lira1[3474,2314][short]:
No bad pixels, min=0., max=0. (old)
Line storage mode, physdim [3474,2314], length of user area 2673 s.u.

As you can see, [b:76fe0001af]"LTM1_1"[/b:76fe0001af] really deleted! Don't know in that problem you have...

Just tested:
[code:1:385c529f33]
ecl> hedit lira1 "naxis-" addonly+ update+
ecl> hedit lira1 naxis-. delete+
[/code:1:385c529f33]
"NAXIS-" not founded in the header of file!
