And if "yes", then wich cameras IRAF can manage?
Thanks!

If you're talking about controlling the exposure time and/or reading out the image the the answer is NO. There are a number of other packages out there that can control the camera.-Mike

So, it mean that i must use other software for getting images from my Canon 350D and only after this i can do some works with images in IRAF?
Oh... Not so cool as i was wanna...
I hope, what in the next revesions this feature will be included. Very hope.
So, now i can do next:
1. Using "digicam" for getting images from my camera.
2. In the GIMP, using UFRAW-plugin, i convert RAW-images to FITS.
3. And working with FITS in the IRAF.
As you see - it's too long way for get result...

Given the diversity of consumer CCD cameras its not likely we'll be adding packages to run them anytime soon (that doesn't mean people aren't free to contribute the code though!). You can however declare your 'digicam' task as a foreign command in IRAF and perhaps use the IMPORT task in DATAIO to read the raw image to FITS all in the same environment. You'll need to know the layout of the RAW image to use IMPORT, but it should handle most binary raster formats and produce the FITS file directly.-Mike

So, in that docs i can read HOWTO intergate digicam(or another software) to us it from IRAF cl?
BTW, i can myself to try to do that... But more simple to me - read and make a test of this job.
As i understand, i can something about my thinks in the doc about scripting in the IRAF? Or i mistake?

You can declare a command to be 'foreign' using something like[code:1:b0d2d41feb]cl> task $digicam = $foreign[/code:1:b0d2d41feb]As long as the command is in your default path you can just type 'digicam' at the CL prompt to start it (note that "cl> !digicam" to do it as a shell escape also works).
