I have installed iraf version 2.12 on a solaris 10 machine. I have been having two problems with this program and they are as follows: 1. At the command prompt if I type $cl it does not open the program. I have to type the entire path to cl.e to open the program. 2. At cl> plot
pl> graph dev$pix
[b:45bdf263fb]Cannot Open Connected subprocess (plot$x_plot.e) [/b:45bdf263fb]I am unable to use the plot package. Could you please advice me on this? Is there a telephone number I can call to get some help. Thank You.

What exactly happens? A "command not found" may simply mean that the place where the 'cl' command was put (i.e. the 'local bin directory' specified in the install script) is not in your path. It could also mean you ran the install script with the '-n' (no-op) flag so nothing actually happened.[quote:4b01f97a8a] 2. At cl> plot

Cannot Open Connected subprocess (plot$x_plot.e) [/quote:4b01f97a8a]
This could be related to the above or it could be an error in how the files were unpacked. Verify that $iraf/bin.ssun contains a x_plot.e file. Otherwise, the 'cl' command sets up the environment before starting the binary so it could just be a missing environment variable (e.g. $iraf, $IRAFARCH or $arch (normally /iraf/iraf/, ssun, and .ssun respectively)). Not any more....Hope this helps.
