I added a new package this morning. Now when I login I get the error message: Undefined IRAF task astutil. I looked for it but don't seem to have it. Is that possible?

Found the packages. But still get the error messages.

Did you edit the hlib$extern.pkg to add the package, or add it to the NOAO package directly (noao$noao.cl). It's possible that when editing the extern.pkg the definition for NOAO was lost, are other packages like ONEDSPEC available? Check that there is a 'keep' as the last line of extern.pkg, look also for a missing backslash escape on the 'helpdb' string and/or a missing trailing '/' on the NOAO package definition. Unless you deleted files from the NOAO tree, it should still be on your system.Also, if what you meant was that you defined a package (and load it) in your loginuser.cl file, and that package requires ASTUTIL, then you may be trying to load it before the NOAO package gets loaded at the bottom of your login.cl file. Add NOAO to the package loading before your package in the loginuser.cl.-Mike

I was able to fix the problem. I had to load noao first but for some reason I couldn't load it in the cl file that loaded astutil. I had to load it in a cl file loaded earlier. !?Thanks
