Hi,I am a graduate student from the Institute of Astronomy, National Tsin Hua University, Taiwan. Right now I am working on PSF photometry fitting. In my case, it would be better to get IRAF C source code and compile by my self. Is it possible to ask for the IRAF source code (PSF fitting part) in C language? I really appreciate your help! Thank you!
Cheers,
Chin-Shin

IRAF sources are included in the distribution but are in something called SPP (a preprocessor language). C code can in fact be generated from this, but like all machine-generated code it isn't readable by humans. More importantly, the PSF fitting applications are layered on other IRAF interfaces and cannot be extracted for use in other non-IRAF code. You might have better luck trying to wrap something like the DAOPHOT Fortran code from Stetson, or post back with more details on what you're trying to do for other suggestions.Cheers,
-Mike
