try this:

ds9 img1.fits img2.fits
[/code:1:fb96a3a66a]it launches DS9 with two frames, one with img1.fits and the other with img2.fits. Is it what you need?  In the Help menu of DS9 there is a Reference Manual, see the "Command Line Options" section...Emiliano

Thanks Emiliano. This is what I need. This is funny...I was trying combinations and combination with 'tile' and other options and the answer is so simple Thanks many again
