IRAF Help:
I am trying to use telluric to find a best match between star and telluric standard. For some reason I am getting a frustrating error: Warning: Image header parameter not found (EXTVER)And then it simply drops back to cl>. Has anyone seen this before? What is so frustrating is that it does not occur for all spectra. I have others I can run it on and I have successfuly used the program in the past. So, something is strange in the files (ESO spectra) I am wishing to work with now.
Might there be a fix to the spectra files that will alow telluric to proceed? Some kind of hedit I can do to get past or override this error? THANKS!!

Margaret,The EXTVER message is bogus due to the way the error recovery is done (this should have been cleared up for TELLURIC in V2.12.2a and later systems). In any case, the trick is to define an EXTVER header parameter and run the task again, you'll see the real error message which will likely be some other missing keyword. Hope this helps.Cheers,
-Mike
