Dear IRAF Help,
I am reducing MOSAIC2 data taken at CTIO, and did the initial reduction (bias, flats, etc.) using the MOSAIC IRAF package on a computer at Michigan State. Some of the frames were split into frames for each amp, and I have found that if one runs single-frame IRAF and tries to run DISPLAY on one of these split-out amp frames, the image is indeed displayed in the DS9 window, but not the entire image.
The question is: Is there a way to set the parameters in normal single-frame IRAF (which is all I have running at my home institution, Benedictine College) so that the entire image of the single amp can be displayed? (With our chief computer services person injured in an automobile accident, I am not real enthusiastic about trying to import the MOSAIC package and get it operational here…I may well just mess up what I do have operational!).
Thanks for any advice you can give me!

Hi Scott,Try resetting your 'stdimage' environment variable so you're using a frame buffer large enough for the image, e.g.cl> reset stdimage = imt4096will create a 4k x 4k frame buffer when you display, you can then pan/zoom around in the ds9 as needed. Use the GDEVICES command to list the available frame buffers.Cheers,
-Mike
